Luba, a student in Belarus, apparently finds solace in a book she treasures more than anything else in the world—yes, even more than her boyfriend and her burning desire to flee Alexander Lukashenko’s iron-fisted rule. This book, it seems, is her daily source of comfort, warmth, joy, and strength.
Now, while Luba hasn’t gone public with these sentiments, I’m quite convinced they’re spot on. I’d even wager she holds this book dearer than fluffy bunnies and adorable kittens.
So, just as you wouldn’t doubt your mom’s love, don’t doubt my take on Luba’s devotion to her favorite read.
